JWAM alleges non-availability of basic amenities

JAMMU, Dec 15: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today expressed concern over non-availability of basic amenities in west constituency.
The JWAM president said that ration outlets of Government are empty in whole Jammu, particularly west constituency, where people are without ration items like atta, sugar and kerosene oil for months together.
“The heaps of garbage are lying on along the road in whole constituency and there are no waste containers put up by the Jammu Municipal Corporation in all mohallas due to which the people have to travel long distance to throw waste”, Sunil Dimple said while chairing a meeting of JWAM held here today.
He said all drains of the constituency are overflowing and dirty water entering into the residences and shops of the people while the condition of lanes and roads is very deplorable and street lights lying non-functional.
Dimple demanded CBI inquiry into funds spent by ERA, PWD (R&B) and JMC in the constituency, stating that no development is visible in the constituency.
