JWAM demands district status for Jammu West

JAMMU, May 20: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) reiterating its demand of district status to Jammu West constituency, today held protest demonstration and asked the State Government to discuss their demands in DDB meeting.
JWAM president Sunil Dimple criticised the Government for causing delay in granting district status to West Assembly constituency.
Other demands raised during the protest were regarding constitution of Delimitation Commission in the State, making Jammu a smart city and immediate opening of AIIMS in Jammu.
He also demanded start of work on the Chenab water supply scheme and the return of power projects from Centre to the State.
