JWAM demands metro-train services from Amphalla to Akhnoor

JAMMU, Apr 22: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) along with traders here today staged a protest demonstration against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), PWD R&B and ERA.
The protest was led by JWAM president, Sunil Dimple and the protesters were demanding construction of ring road and starting of metro-train project from Amphalla to Akhnoor via Manda, Janipur and Bantalab.
The protesters also demanded construction of flyovers at Rehari Chungi and Jewal Chowk to solve the traffic problem.
Addressing protesters Dimple said that condition of the road from Bantalab to Ranjan-Mathwar up to Akhnoor is in very bad condition it should be blacktopped soon.
He also demanded making Jammu a smart city.
Prominent among protesters included Sham Saroop, Jagdish Raj Gupta, Manjeet Anand, Sita Ram Sharma, Subash Dogra and others.
