JWAM demands restoration of statehood to J&K

JAMMU, June 10: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has demanded restoration of statehood with special status to J&K and holding of assembly elections.
Addressing a protest demonstration here today JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple also demanded that the recently introduced domicile certificate notification in J&K should be withdrawn and the Government jobs in J&K should be filled on the basis of Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC).
The JWAM leader also expressed resentment against the installation of toll plazas in and around Jammu district and privatization of PDD.
He claimed that he has sent an ‘open memorandum’ containing all these demands to PM Modi.
Dimple claimed that domicile certificate will make outsiders eligible for recruitments in J&K and added that PRC is identity of “our culture”.
He further demanded reinstating of J&K Bank POs, terminated SRO 24 GMC staff, J&K Bank Khidmadgars and others.
