JWAM deputation submits memo to Chief Secy

JAMMU, Mar 25: A deputation of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) led by its president, Sunil Dimple, today called upon the Chief Secretary BR Sharma, and submitted him a memorandum demanding ouster of Rohingyas from Jammu.
Sunil Dimple said in the memorandum that strong resentment is prevailing among the people of Jammu region and particularly the people of the Jammu city due to illegal stay of more than one lakh Rohingyas and Bangladeshies in Jammu and other districts of the region, who he said, have even managed to get Aadhaar cards, Ration cards and fake State subjects.
He demanded chief secretary to pass immediate directions to the Divisional Commissioners, DCs, IGs, DIG, SSPs of all the districts to immediately submit the reports on the settlement of Rohingyas, Bangladeshies and other foreigners settled in their respective districts.
The Chief Secretary gave a patient hearing to the demands put forward by the deputation and informed that the Government has all ready passed directions to the district administration of all districts of Jammu region to submit reports on Rohingyas. He further said that a meeting of all organizations will be convened soon to apprise them of the action taken report on the issue.
