JAMMU, Jan 7: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has flayed the new industrial policy of J&K and MoU of power projects and said that PM Modi and J&K LG should clarify on these.
In a press conference here today JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple said decision of the government to settle outsiders in J&K through backdoors in the garb of industrial development will not be allowed.
He said that the Government should first focus on helping local industrialists struggling for their survival in the absence of sustainable packages for their development.
JWAM leader claimed that earlier too many outside industrialists ran away closing their units in J&K after “looting resources and drawing industrial benefits.”
He also claimed that the industrialists will bring their own manpower with them thus depriving local youths of any kind of employment except menial posts of attendants, security guards etc.
The JWAM leader demanded such decisions should be left for a popular Government to be duly elected by the people as and when elections are held.
He demanded restoration of statehood to J&K with special powers and added that agitation for the same will be intensified.
