JAMMU, July 31: Jammu West Assembly Movement today held a protest here at New Plot on Janipur-High Court Road against Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s recent statement in which she allegedly showed disrespect to Tricolour.
Led by JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, activists raised slogans against PDP and CM Mehbooba Mufti and also burnt effigies of separatists as well as Pakistan flags. The protesting activists said that Chief Minister through her controversial statements has disrespected the Tricolor and she should seek apology from the Indian Nationals without any delay.
While speaking on the occasion, Dimple urged upon the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as BJP Ministers, MLAs and MLCs in the State to take serious note of the CM’s statement, as while hearing her recent statements one gets impression as if she is the Chief Minister of some Pakistan State or spokesperson of Pakistan/Hurriyat leaders.
He demanded the Prime Minister as well as BJP to immediately withdraw the support from the PDP, as any more continuation of the BJP alliance with PDP will be dangerous for the State and the Nation.
Dimple further demanded Central Government to close all LoC routes and trade with Pakistan. He also asserted for imposing ban on Hurriyat Conference and immediately arrest Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik, who are inciting the innocent youth of Kashmir against India and engaged in anti-National activities.
He said that this is an open fact that due to different ideologies of the both coalition partners BJP and PDP, the State Government has no clear policy to deal with terrorism, which has increased in the State since this Government took over.
The JWAM president demanded to dissolve the State Assembly and impose Governor Rule in the State, alleging that PDP-BJP Coalition Government has failed to check terrorism in the State.
