JWAM holds protest against non-availability of ration

JAMMU, Oct 26: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demonstration against non-availability of ration in the Government depots.
BPL families led by Sunil Dimple, president, JWAM held protest and raised slogans against Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) and Food and Supply Departments and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
Addressing the gathering, Dimple alleged that departments have failed to cater the needs of the BPL families by making ration available at Government depots.
He added that the Government has failed to control the prices of the essential commodities and urged the Government to take appropriate steps in this regards, so that people may get some respite in the forthcoming festive season.
He served 24 hours ultimatum to make availability of ration in the Government depots including kerosene oil, otherwise JWAM will hold massive protest.
