JAMMU, June 24: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) activists led by its president Sunil Dimple held a protest demonstration at Janipur-High Court Road against PDD and PHE Ministeries.
Addressing the protestors, Sunil Dimple warned the State Government that if power cuts were not stopped immediately, the people would stop paying the power rent.
He demanded the visiting Prime Minister to allocate special funds for upgradation of the PDD infrastructure of the Jammu region.
He also said that the Movement will strongly oppose the proposed move of the PHE Ministry to metre 1400 water connections, commercial as well as domestic, as the State has rich sources of water.
Maintaining that the River Tawi is not meeting the water requirement of people of Jammu City, he asserted for starting of work on the supply of water from River Chenab Project, Akhnoor to Jammu City.
