JAMMU, Mar 21: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demonstration here on Amphalla-Janipur Road demanding Governor NN Vohra to dissolve the Assembly and hold fresh elections for a stable Government in the State.
Irate activists of JWAM under the leadership of their president, Sunil Dimple, raised slogans demanding resignations from all the BJP MLAs for making mockery of the Jammu mandate.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple said that now when BJP and PDP have failed to form Government, the Governor should dissolve the Assembly without any further wastage of time as the State has already suffered a lot due the unpopular coalition Government of BJP and PDP.
Dimple said as no political party is in a position to form the Government and every party has expressed its inability to form the Government, there seems no sense for the Governor to make any delay in dissolving the Assembly.
Alleging that the MLAs and the former Ministers are unnecessary burden on the public exchequer, he demanded for the continuation of the Governor rule for six months.
He demanded Governor to stop the salaries of the former Ministers and MLAs and divert those funds for the development of the State and the wage payment to the daily wagers.
Alleging that without Assembly elections the municipality and Panchyat elections will be of no use, Dimple demanded the Governor to hold the Assembly elections first, as the funds are allotted and decisions are taken on the floor of the assembly and in the cabinet meetings.
