JAMMU, July 1: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest here at New Plot against miserable condition of roads in Jammu city particularly in Jammu West Assembly Movement.
The protesters led by JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, raised slogans against MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma and demanded his resignation for no development of the West Assembly Constituency, where roads have been uprooted by either BSNL, PHE Department or some other agency.
Dimple demanded the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to improve the worst condition of roads and activate the ERA, PWD (R&B) and JMC. He alleged since the day, BJP-PDP Government took charge, no new project was started in Jammu due to which city has turned into a slum.
He stated that the Jammu West Constituency is the most backward, undeveloped and dirtiest constituency of the State. He alleged all the roads of the West Constituency have been badly damaged and the dust pollution created due to plying of vehicles on these damaged roads is causing fatal breathing diseases for the people.
Dimple gave ultimatum to the Government for starting Jan Andolan if full black topping work of the West Constituency is not done. He alleged that the BJP-PDP Government has totally failed to solve the traffic problem in the Jammu city and is not constructing the much needed flyovers at Rehari Chungi and Jewel Chowk.
