JAMMU, Aug 6: The residents of Jammu West held protest demonstration against the PHE Ministry for the complete failure of the PHE, Jammu city division under the banner of Jammu West Assembly Movement, today.
Addressing the protestants Sunil Dimple, JWAM president, flashed an urgent memorandum to the Dr Pawan Kotwal Com/Secy PHE registering strong protest for the complete failure of the PHE city Sub division of the winter capital.
Sunil Dimple alleged that in the constituency lacs of gallons water is going waste destroying the residential areas. In spite of bringing this matter, time and again in the notice of the Chief Engineer Sushiel Aima, no concrete step has been taken, he added.
The memorandum mentioned that the river Tawi is not meeting the requirements of the people of the Jammu city so the work on the supply of water from ” River Chenab project” from Akhnoor to Jammu city should be started.
Sunil Dimple demanded to hold the inquiry of the working of the officers of the PHE Department.
Dimple demanded that the “totally free of cost” drinking water should be provided to the people as our State has rich sources of the water.
Coming down heavily on the ERA asked it to complete the sewerage works at the earliest and also demanded for the immediate black topping of the roads damaged by the PHE leakages and by the ERA sewerage in the constituency.
