JWAM organises protest rally against road widening

JAMMU, June 27: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) activists supported by traders here today organised a protest rally against the widening of Amphalla-Bantalab Road.
The rally was led by JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple who demanded construction of Ring Road and start of Metro Train facility from Amphalla-Akhnoor.
JWAM leader also demanded construction of flyovers, ring roads and solution to the traffic problem in Jammu city.
He appealed to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik to immediately intervene into the matter as there is allegedly no traffic mobility plan in Jammu city.
Dimple said that such protests will continue till work on Ring Road and Metro Train is not started from Amphalla to Akhnoor.
The JWAM leader appealed to the DGP Dilbag Singh to direct the traffic police, cops at different police posts police in Jammu and Flying Squads not to harass the tourists of Mata Vaishno Devi and Amarnath Yatra by stopping their vehicles at nakas.
Daleep Kumar, Mohinder Kumar Lichi, Ramdayal, Manjit Anand, Sanjay Nagraj, Chaman Pawar, Satpal Kohli, J.M Gupta, S. Randhir Singh Bali, Shanker Das, Depak Kumar, Jagdish Gupta, Ramesh Chander, Kala Singh, Papu Kumar, Vijay, Vinay Gupta, Ricky Bhasin, Sanjay Gupta, Amit Gupta and many others were also present in the protest rally.
