JWAM, others observe hunger strike

JAMMU, Dec 14: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) president, Sunil Dimple along with farmers, traders, transporters and supporters here today sat on a one day hunger strike in support of farmers’ agitation and for the restoration of statehood to J&K.
The protesters were demanding repealing of “three black anti-farmers laws” and called for Jammu Bandh on December 25 if their demands are not met within ten days.
Addressing protesters Dimple claimed that “three black laws” will spoil the future of farmers and their coming generations.
He also appealed to the people to support farmers’ agitation.
Dimple urged upon the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to concede all the demands of farmers as their agitation has badly affected the railway services which in turn has caused shortage of essential commodities.
Vijay Virdi, Swarn Lal, Sham Sharma, Himanyu Khan, Babu Ram, Sham Singh, S. Kala Singh, Divanshu Kahai, Papu Kumar, Balu Kumar, Mohinder Lichi and others were also present in the hunger strike.
