JWAM protests against worst traffic scenario

JAMMU, Oct 30: Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement led a protest against the worst traffic problems in Jammu city and West constituency and poor performance of the traffic monitoring agencies.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple attacked PWD R&B, ERA, JMC Ministries for their failure to solve the problem of traffic jams and worst condition of the roads in the West constituency.
During the protest, prominent citizens and irate traders raised slogans against the PWD R&B, ERA, JMC departments, for swindling of the funds meant for the construction of flyovers and widening of the BC Road Rehari Chungi as also the Jewel Chowk.
He demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi should come to the State with big package for the making the Jammu region as smart city.
Dimple criticized the BJP-PDP Government and urged upon the Housing and Urban Development Department, JMC, PWD R&B Minister, to start the construction of flyovers at Rehari Chungi and Jewel Chowk and solve the traffic problems of the Jammu city.
Dimple alleged the BJP-PDP Government has no traffic mobile plan for the Jammu city and is misleading the people of Jammu with hollow assurances without doing anything on the ground.
Dimple demanded for starting Metro Rail, Mono Rail and Construction of Circular Roads to solve the traffic problem faced by the people of Jammu City.
Dimple gave ultimatum to PWD, ERA, for the immediate full blacktopping of the roads of the Jammu West constituency and avoiding patch work.
