JWAM protests demanding Statehood restoration to J&K

JAMMU, Mar 24: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding restoration of Statehood to J&K with special status.
The protesters also torched the copies of domicile certificates and new land laws.
The protest was led by JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple who claimed that abrogation of Art 370 and 35-A from J&K snatched “our identity, history and rights”.
He said, instead of implementing the unanimous resolution passed by Parliament for liberation of PoJK, Gilgit and Blatistan, PM Modi led government “unconstitutionally dismantled our Dogra State into two Union Territories”.
“I have been requesting the leaders of all political parties to start a united fight seeking restoration of our Statehood as was existing till August 5, 2019,” the JWAM leader maintained adding that now some of the parties have realized this aspect of the situation.
He also demanded assembly election and immediate completion of delimitation exercise of assembly and parliamentary seats.
Manjiet Anand, Sachin Soi, Rajesh, Satpal Sharma, Arjun, Ajay, Om Parksh Sharma, Rajinder Sharma, Ajay Mehta, Rupesh Bhat, Satpal Kohli, Tara Chand and many others were also present in the protest.
