JAMMU, June 8: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest demonstration against the PDD and PHE Department for 12 to 15 hours power cuts and acute scarcity of drinking water in the West Assembly constituency.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple, JWAM president flayed PDD for its total failure and said that people are facing long duration power cut and all the Ministers, MLAs with their families are enjoying cool breeze in Kashmir Valley and drinking the Chashmashahi water when the whole Jammu has gone dry.
He demanded installation of new receiving station of 50 MVA at Janipur to overcome the load problem and the curtailment of power cuts.
He appealed people not to allow the PHE Department to install the water meters on the water connections and also not to deposit the water tariff this year. He demanded free drinking water to the people.
