JAMMU, Sept 20: JWAM activists including prominent citizens and traders today held a strong protest rally on Janipur High Court Road against the sexual exploitation of mentally retarded girls in the NGO Home at Channi Rama, in particular and the growing cases of rapes in the State, in general.
The irate protesters carrying banners in their hands disrupted vehicular traffic for some time, staged dharna and shouted slogans against the administration for its failure to check this heinous crime. They demanded immediate arrest of the rapists, sealing abortion clinics besides a CBI enquiry in Chhani Rama NGO case.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple demanded to book all those who were involved in this heinous crime of rape or abortion of the rape victims without bringing the case into the notice of the police.
Alleging that the enquiry being held at DC Level is merely an eye wash, he demanded the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to hold the CBI inquiry of the incident.
