JWAM stages protest against road widening

JAMMU, July 29: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today staged a protest demonstration against the widening of Amphalla-Janipur road.
The protest was led by JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple wherein the protesters raised slogans against the Government.
They demanded Four Way Circular Ring Road from Amphalla-Manda to Janipur High Court-Akhnoor and for starting Metro Train services from Amphalla-Janipur High Court Road and Roop Nagar-Bantalab up to Akhnoor.
Addressing the protesters Dimple appealed all the residents, shop-owners and tenants to not to cooperate with the Government revenue survey teams.
He also said that traders are in great stress and under depression after this alleged destructive move of the Government.
JWAM leader also said that revenue teams are daily visiting bazaars, market and inside the shops to fix the demolition mark.
He appealed to the traders to remain united to oppose this destructive move of the Government.
Prominent among protesters were Rajinder Bhargav, S. Tarlok Singh, Ashwani Nayar, Ravinder Sharma and others.
