JWAM stages protest, demands statehood restoration

JAMMU, July 19: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding restoration of statehood to J&K with special status and restart of Darbar Move practice.
The protest was led by JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple who said that PM Modi should announce the restoration of statehood to J&K in the ongoing Parliament session.
He alleged that BJP Government wants to destroy the communal harmony of J&K.
Dimple appealed traders and transporters to get united for a bigger agitation as the Government is not serious in starting Darbar Move practice.
He said the government has badly failed to provide jobs to educated youth.
JWAM leader said transactions worth crores takes place between Jammu and Kashmir due to annual Darbar Move practise.
He appealed to all the political parties, youths, people, traders and transporters of J&K to get united on one platform for a united struggle for statehood restoration to J&K with special status as it was before August 5, 2019.
Manjeet Anand, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Rupesh Bhat, Sat Sharma, Sachin Soi, Ajay Mehta, Ashok Dogra, Sanjeev, Rajinder Sharma and others were also present in the protest.
