JAMMU, Dec 7: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today warned the Governor administration of holding a protest on December 10 if their demand to construct ring Road from Manda (Amphalla) to Janipur High Court Road and divert traffic on it, is not fulfilled.
Addressing a press conference here today, Sunil Dimple, president of JWAM, said that Road Action Committee (RAC) has been constituted which shall intensified its struggle for construction of the ring road from Amphalla Manda to Janipur High Court Road and starting Metro Rail from Amphalla-Manda to Akhnoor. Dimple appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to immediately intervene into the matter.
Expressing his concern over the proposed move of the Government to widen the Amphalla- Janipur High Court Road by 20 feet from both sides, Dimple said that if done this will affect the livelihood of the five lakh people who are running business and living on both sides of the road.
Dimple said that there is great resentment among the traders of these areas and they are ready for the ‘do and die’ struggle.
