JAMMU, Sept 10: Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) here today has released a book ‘Pitri Paksh-Pitri Karam Mahattva’ highlighting all about Pitri-Paksh.
The book was released by President and Trustees on Board of the Trust.
Talking to reporters JYBT President, Pawan Shastri said like previous occasions this year also they are making elaborate arrangements for religious discourses and rituals to be performed at Trust’s Haridwar Bhawan during ‘Pitri Paksh (Shraadh)-2019’ from September 13 to 28.
He also said that the Trust has invited all those who wish to perform Shraadh of their late parents, friends, relatives, well wishers at Shree Ganga Ji Ghat Haridwar.
“Such people may contact us at 9419193645, 9419662100, 7051122990 (Helpline Jammu) and 07895164317 (Helpline Haridwar),” Gurdas Sharma, General Secretary of the Trust said.
“Those desirous to perform Shraadh of their late loved ones but can’t attend personally at Haridwar to perform the rituals may also contact us and on their behalf JYBT shall arrange rituals for their loved ones and the video clip of that could be seen on Facebook page of the Trust,” he said.
Sharma also said that the Pind and Brahmin Bhoj will be performed under the guidance of renowned scholar Pawan Kumar Shastri.
“As like previous year this year too Management of JYBT has decided to pay rich tributes to the personnel of Indian army, paramilitary forces and police who laid their life while securing our borders” Sharma said.
“Families members of war heroes who would like to participate personally may come with photograph of the martyr after informing the Trust in advance so that proper arrangement can be ensured for ritual of Tarpan at Haridwar to pray Almighty for Mukti of the departed souls on the day of Amasiya falling on September 28 for which 1008 Pinddaan at Ganga Ji Ghat shall be performed,” he further said.
S.L Pandhotra, Trust Vice President; Ram Langer, Treasurer and Jatinder Aggarwarl, Trustee were also present in the press conference.
