JAMMU, June 22: 620th Kabir Jayanti, which falls on June 28, will be celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety by the Bhagat Samaj in Jammu and all necessary arrangements in this regard have been finalized.
This was informed by prominent members of the Bhagat Samaj while addressing a joint press conference, held here today.
G R Bhagat, coordinator of Sadguru Kabir Jayanti Celebration Committee (J&K), elaborated that the main function on 28th June 2018 will be arranged at three different places i.e Kabir Bhawan, Chak-Avtara, Bishnah, Kabir Mandir Rehari and Abhinav Theatre Jammu keeping in view that the summer is at its peak and it will be very difficult to organize the function for such a huge gathering at one place.
Besides this, he added, a Shoba Yatra on Kabir Jayanti will be organized on Sunday i.e 24th of June 2018. The Shoba Yatra will commence from MAM Stadium and after passing through Jewel Chowk, Gummat, Sunder Singh Road, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Parade, Exchange Road etc, will reach at Kabir Mandir, Rehari where Satsang on the philosophy of Sadguru Kabir Sahib and Guru Ka Langer will be arranged.
Bhagat appealed the general public and Kabir Panthies to participate in both the functions and have the blessings of Kabir Sahib.
Others personalities of the Bhagat Samaj, who attended the press conference, included F C Bhagat (President All J&K Kabir Sabha), Mohinder Bhagat (President Bhagat Mahasaba) and Behari Lal Bhagat (President of Megh Sudhar Sabha), Pawan Kumar, Bodh Raj, Narinder Bhagat, Prof Ashok Bhagat, Yash Pal Bhagat, Ramesh Lal, Ravinder Bhagat and Manoharlal.
