JAMMU, May 13: The Bhagat Community will celebrate Kabir Jayanti on June 2 here at Satwari.
This was disclosed during a joint press conference addressed by president, All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha, FC Bhagat; president, Bhagat Mahasabha, Mahinder Lal and president, Megh Sudar Sabha, BL Bhagat.
The three presidents announced that this year Kabir Jayanti will be celebrated jointly by all the three wings of the community under the same roof.
They said that the celebrations will start at 9 am of June 2 with garlanding the statue of Sant Kabir at Kabir Rotary near KC Morh and thereafter a procession followed by jhankies will be taken out from old Kabir Mandir, Rehari to Satwari Chowk, where the main function will be held.
Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed will be the chief guest on the occasion.
