Kabir ‘Nirvan Divas’ observed

JAMMU, Feb 25: All J&K Sant Kabir Sabha along with Bhagat Mahasabha and Megh Sabha today observed ‘506th Kabir Nirvan Divas’ on 25.02.2024 at Kabir Bhawan Chak-Avtara, Bishnah.
The function was largely attended by public from Jammu division especially from district Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Reasi. The devotees profusely garlanded the statue of Sant Kabir Ji. On this day, a flag (Nishaan) was also installed at the Kabir Bhawan which henceforth shall serve as a beacon of spiritual & religious feeling among the devotees.
Satsang on the life of Sant Kabir Ki was also held by the preachers, who spoke on the life and teachings of Sant Kabir.
President of the Kabir Sabha, FC Bhagat while addressing the gathering said that the entire world is aware about the mystic saint and poet Kabir Saheb from India. Sant Kabir’s ideologies mainly related to the segment of the society that discriminated against people on the basis of economic background and caste. Sant Kabir often criticized the religious preachers for not giving information about the true Almighty as to how people could attain the almighty and his grace. Though Sant Kabir was illiterate, his poems were quite strikingly similar to the information contained in various religious books. He was revered and respected by people from Hindu, Muslim and Sikh communities.
President Bhagat Mahasabha Mohinder Kumar Bhagat and president Megh Sabha Narinder Bhagat also spoke on the occasion & appealed to the society at large to unite on a common platform and maintain a positive approach for the proper upliftment of the mankind irrespective of caste, color or religion.
