JAMMU, Feb 24: Kabir Nirwan Diwas was observed today with religious fervour and gaiety. In this connection a function was organized by All J&K Shri Sad Guru Kabir Sabha in the premises of Shri Sad Guru Kabir Mandir, here at Janipur. The function was largely attended by the followers of Sad Guru across the Jammu region.
The spiritual discourses were given by Dina Nath Ji Punjab wale disciple of great Mahatma Shri Chandi Ram Ji. The satsang on the Bani of Saints with special reference to Kabir Bani was held on the occasion. He explained the Sangat that Kabir was a living spirit of God who lived in the world for 120 years & preached the inner richness of human values and his main thrust was on humanity by containing the caste system and spread the message of love, peace and tranquility.
He condemned all unwanted customs and rituals in both the communities i.e. Hindus and Muslims.
He said according to Kabir Sahib Bani all humans are equal and God is one. The way to reach the God depends on ones Karma and not on the basis of high caste and worldly richness. So one should adopt the path of truth and honesty, he added.
Further he explained that all religions are preaching the same truth and path of love and affection, no religion is preaching anything malice towards humanity but unfortunately society at large is not following the religion preaching in its high perspective that’s why there is unrest and peace of mind/satisfaction is far away.
The function was attended by Mula Ram, ex Minister, Prof. Gharu Ram, MLA, R.S. Pura, K.C. Bhagat, MLA Chenani, Chaman Lal, G.R. Bhagat, senior. vice president, J.L. Bhagat, ex-President, District Jammu, Pardeep Bhagat, district. president Reasi , O.P. Bhagat, vice president Bhagat Mahasabha, M.R. Bhagat, president Megh Sudhar Sabha, Dev Raj Bhagat, distt. president Kathua, Babu Ram Bhagat, district. president Rajouri, Sat Pal, district. president Kishtwar, Jagdish Arya, Swami Raj Bhaga, besides above all the office bearers attend the function and paid obeisance to the great Saint Shri Sad Guru Kabir.
At the end Guru Ka Langar was distributed among the sangat.
