JAMMU, May 11: Principal Secretary Home Department, Shaleen Kabra here today visited SDRF 2nd Bn and chaired a review meeting on disaster preparedness.
The meeting was attended by Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn Jammu, Rashmi Wazir; Director Home Guards, I/C DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu, Vikas Gupta and officers of the Bn.
A detailed presentation on the working and disaster preparedness of SDRF 2nd Bn as well as the components was presented by the Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn Jammu.
A handout stated that the visit was in continuation to the visit of K. Vijay Kumar Advisor to the Governor on April 24.
Kabra laid emphasis on continuous training of the personnel to meet any disaster related exigency.
He inspected various rescue gadgets and disaster handling equipments.
