KATRA, Mar 25: Niranjan Peethadheeshwar Shree Shree 1008 Acharya Mahamandaleshwar, Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj inaugurated Shri Raman Maharishi Meditation Hall at Nand Ashram Katra here, today. A large number of people attended the function.
Besides, performing the Pooja of Lord Shiva he also planted a Bilb tree there.
While delivering sermons on the occasion, Swami Kailshanand Giri Ji appreciated the efforts of Nand Baba Trust which is working for the promotion of Sanatan Dharam & spirituality. He further said that it is very positive that people are moving towards the teachings of Sanatan Dharam in a big way and latest example of this is recently held Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj wherein participation of people was even more than what it was expected and people irrespective of age groups, castes, creed and colours joined. He said the need of the hour is this that teaching of great personalities of Hindu Dharam are followed and spread, so that world may become a better place to live in.
Head of Nand Baba Trust, Kirti Kumar Khajuria said that main objective of this Trust is to preach the spirituality among the general public, which is going away from the real duties for which they are blessed the human form by almighty. He said that this Ashram came into existence in 1921 and Baba Jagan Nath Ji Maharaj was its founder and is doing spiritual and social work since then.
Gopal Singh, in his address said that with the opening of this Meditation Hall, Katra will get new recognition and people will get calm atmosphere for having mediation over here and pray that this destination may become place to reckon with.
Rakesh Wazir president Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra and Chairman PHDCCI Jammu Region while giving vote of thanks said that in coming days this Ashram would become a real hub of pilgrimage Tourism and people from all over India and abroad will come for attainment of peace and doing meditation here.
President of Kailakh Jyoti & Vaidik Sansthan Trust, Rohit Shastri while speaking on the occasion said that meditation keeps mind and soul pure and with the creation of this meditation hall a step in this direction has been achieved.
