KALAKOTE, Nov 17 : Former legislator and Congress candidate from Kalakote Assembly constituency, Ashok Sharma has emphasized the need for formulating a comprehensive youth policy in Jammu and Kashmir for effectively addressing the problem of unemployment and ensuring holistic and all round progress and prosperity of youth of the State.
Mr. Sharma was addressing a large number of youth and other Congress party activists after opening his election office at Dhangri in Kalakote constituency in Rajouri district today. He said that laptops/computers would be provided to all 11th and 12th class students of the constituency to promote computer literacy and sharpen their skills to keep them in advantageous position in the job market. He said that he would strive hard to develop Kalakote as a model constituency by ensuring its speedy growth in all people-centric sectors in a time bound manner.
Interacting with people during his door-to-door campaign in Dhangri and Saranoo area, Mr. Sharma resolved that shelter for all would be ensured in the constituency within next 6 years and a mechanism shall also be evolved to provide all certificates, including State Subject Certificate to the people under single window system to cut delays.
Referring to the acute scarcity of water and power supply in the area, the senior Congress leader said that all households would be provided electricity and tapped water in next 3 years besides connecting all habitations with roads in next 5 years.
