JAMMU, Mar 27: In connection with five days long Sat Chandi Maha Yagya to be solemnized at Swami Parmanand (Maha Mandleshwar) Ashram, Damana a Kalash Yatra was taken out today from Damana to Akhnoor.
A large number of devotees including prominent people and heads of various organizations participated in the Kalash yatra which passed from various villages of Damana and Akhnoor.
The Mukhi Sevak of the Maha Yagya and vice president State VHP Prabhu Dayal Gupta performed the Dhujrohan on the occasion. The five day long Sat Chandi Yagya will begin from tomorrow and culminate on March 31 with Puranahuti.
VHP senior leaders Suresh Ji and Shakti Dutt Sharma general secretary of the organization were also present. Jhankis were also taken out by the devotees during the Kalsh Yatra. The Sat Chandi Maha Yagya in the Ashram is performed every year.
