JAMMU, Jan 3: Due to non-serious approach of the JMC authorities and the concerned contractor, inhabitants of Kali Janni in Ward number 4 are immensely suffering as dumps of construction material and garbage in the lane are inviting trouble for them.
Because of un-necessary delay in completion of the ongoing work of drain repairing in Parbhag Singh lane of Kali Janni, the locals are not able to safely reach or come out of their houses. A number of elderly persons have even suffered injuries while walking in the street.
Even as the matter was repeatedly brought into the notice of Councillor of ward number 4 and the JMC authorities also, no action was taken for early completion of the work and removal of material dumps. The locals have appealed the JMC Commissioner to personally look into the matter and take action against the contractor, who was un-necessarily prolonging the work.
