JAMMU, Sept 14: R K Kalsotra, State President of the All India Confederation of SC, ST, OBC Organisations, J&K, along with Vice-President Ramesh Sarmal, met Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo today to discuss concerns regarding the J&K CCE 2024 advertisement.
A statement said that a memorandum was submitted, following up on an earlier representation, which was also shared with the Chairman of the J&K Public Service Commission (PSC) by the duo.
The memorandum raised concerns about discrepancies in the allocation of posts under the reservation roster.
It pointed out that SC candidates were allocated 6 JKAS posts instead of 7, and OBC candidates were assigned 7 posts instead of 8.
Kalsotra argued that the alteration in the roster for SCs appeared to be a deliberate attempt to disadvantage the community.
He demanded that the original roster be restored and the advertisement revised to ensure proper representation for SCs and OBCs.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo acknowledged the concerns and assured prompt action.
He directed Sanjeev Verma, Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), to investigate the matter and ensure justice for the affected communities.
Kalsotra and Sarmal expressed their appreciation for the Chief Secretary’s swift response and look forward to a timely resolution.
