VIJAYPUR, Nov 11: Criticizing the negligent attitude of the administration, Congress candidate for Vijaypur Assembly segment Manjit Singh today alleged that the people in the Kandi areas have been allegedly neglected with regard to development and other basic facilities.
Manjit Singh during election campaign visited many villages along the International Border and interacted with the people where people appraised him about various problems they were facing. He visited villages like Rangur Camp, Nandpur Camp, Bassi, Pakhri, Badi and Maduin.
After listening to their grievances, Singh assured full support to the people for the redressal of their complaints and appealed them to strengthen the hands of Congress party in this Assembly election.
“Congress is secular party which can keep all the three regions united and do development equally without any discrimination,” he said, while informing that the State needs prosperity which only Congress can provide while criticizing the policies of the other who are bent on dividing State with the divisive politics.
“Congress party has proved in past as well that it can give stability to the State which has passed though a tough stage,” he added, while claiming that Congress would be single largest party in the State without which no Government could be formed in J&K.
Referring to the local issues of Kandi areas, he said that the people have expressed their concern over the non availability of supply of drinking water and electricity.
“The roads leading to border villages are in bad conditions while administration remained busy to follow the instructions of a local MLA,” he alleged.
He said that the land which has come under fence on International Border has rendered several families helpless since they lost most portion of their land and even then, they were not given compensation or rent for the land being used under fence on border.
