Kanhaiya, Kawal Preet slam tons; Vishal, Rydham impress

JAMMU, Jan 3: Skipper Kanhaiya Wadhawan and promising Kawal Preet Singh slammed classic centuries and Rydham scored fifty to enable J&K declare their innings at 449/6, while left-arm spinner Vishal Kumar though bowled just two overs in his debut match, yet showed the glimpses of his bright future and impressed one and all against Rajasthan at GGM Science Hostel Ground, here today.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight score of 267/3, Jammu and Kashmir rode on a marathon innings of 185 runs by Kawal Preet Singh and classic 118 runs by Kanhaiya Wadhawan to score a big total of 449/6 before declaring their innings after playing 110 overs. Kawal Preet took 305 balls to score 185 runs, hitting 28 fours and 1 six, while Kanhaiya scored 118 off 162 balls studded with 18 boundaries.
Wicketkeeper Rydham Sharma scored brilliant unbeaten 50 runs off 56 balls with 6 boundaries.
For Rajasthan, Rohit Khichar captured 3 wickets, while Mohit bagged 2 and Sangram Singh claimed one.
Rajasthan, in reply, were 1/1 in 3 overs at the draw of stumps on Day-3 today.
ZA Khan was at the crease on zero while Puneet Mishra was dismissed by Vishal Kumar on one. Vishal was impressive with the ball, who bowled 2 maiden overs with a wicket.
