JAMMU, Jan 1: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rohit Kansal today toured the Legislature Complex to inspect final preparations ahead of the Budget Session 2018-19 beginning tomorrow.
Principal Secretary was accompanied by Secretary Legislative Assembly M R Singh, Director Estates Tassaduq Jeelani, besides other officers of the concerned departments.
Kansal inspected different sections of the Legislature Complex including Assembly Hall, Council Hall, Lobby, Meeting Halls, Chief Minister’s chamber, chambers for other VIPs, canteens for Ministers and media personnel, besides inspecting the arrangements put in place in Central Hall where Governor is scheduled to address the Joint Session, tomorrow.
He took detailed appraisal of all requisites like proper lighting, heating, sound system, seating etc necessary for smooth conduct of the Session, besides reviewing the renovation, beautification efforts taken up ahead of the Budget Session.
Taking stock of all arrangements put in place for the upcoming Budget session, Kansal stressed upon officers to ensure cleanliness in and around the complex besides ensuring ample availability of essentials like drinking water, etc.
Secretary Legislative Assembly and Director Estates apprising Kansal on the arrangements made, said that all major works have been executed and final preparations are underway to ensure complex is ready to host the session.
