Kargil leaders meet CS, raise issues

JAMMU, Mar 31: Ex-Chief Executive Councillor Kargil and current Councillor, Yourbaltak Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan and State Vice President BJYM Mohd Hassan Pasha along with senior BJP leader Haji Ghulam Khuddam called upon the Chief Secretary B.V.R Subrahmanyam.
The delegation raised issue of non-inclusion of Lift Irrigation Project and the upgradation of Schools in Sodth Block Kargil (Ladakh) district.
Members of the delegation said that the region was being continuously ignored by the successive governments and expressed hope that the SAC under the supervision of Governor, Satya Pal Malik will serve justice to the downtrodden people of the region.
The Chief Secretary assured that the grievances would be taken up with the concerned departments at the earliest.
He said that the SAC, under the supervision Governor Satya Pal Malik, was committed to the welfare of the Kargil people.
Later, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan told reporters that due representation to the region would be given by the SAC.
