Kargil students hold protest against LAHDC

JAMMU, May 1: All Kargil Students Association Jammu (AKSAJ) held a protest demonstration against Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) for its failure to provide hostel facility to the students studying in Jammu.
Students from Kargil assembled under the banner of All Kargil Students Association Jammu (AKSAJ) outside Kargil House, Bahu Plaza and raised slogans against LAHDC, for not providing hostel facility to them.
Addressing the gathering, Shakeel Ahmed, president, AKSAJ, said that their association held several meetings with Qamar Ali Akhoon, Minister for CAPD and Transport, regarding this issue and each time he promised the students to provide hostel facility at the earliest.
While speaking, Mohd Abuzar, lambasted the Minister for his inability in redressing the issue and added that administration in general and CEC in particular are not able to fulfill the said demands of the students.
The association has served seven days ultimatum to the administration and Transport Minister to fulfill their demands, otherwise face dire consequences.
