KARGIL, Aug 6: Taxi Operators and Owners Union Kargil has given a call for complete strike in Kargil district from tomorrow.
In a press conference at Press Club Kargil today MD Taxi Union Kargil, Mohd Hassan Pasha and Union President, Mohd Ibrahim announced the strike call in support for their demand and all other member of the Union present on the occasion supported it.

The Union is demanding permission to ply Kargil based taxis on all inner routes of entire Ladakh Union Territory.
A handout of the Union stated that there were indefinite strikes, protest demonstrations and hunger strikes by the Taxi Operators in the past too in support of their demand.
