KARGIL, Apr 23: Nearly 35 truck operators from Leh today staged protest dharna and blocked the National Highway near Kargil Filling Station. They were demanding equal share in ferrying of essential commodities.
They (protestors) demanded if trucks are to be allowed to move outside the Lakakh for ferrying essential commodities, then it should be equal between Leh and Kargil.
In this regard, the truck operators also submitted a letter to CEC and appealed the LG Lakadh for resolving the issue as soon as possible.
