Kargil United drubs All Star FC to win title

JAMMU, Apr 28: Defeating All Star FC by two goals to one (2-1) in the summit clash, Kargil United lifted the title of the 2nd Phase of the 1st Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup State Football League Tournament, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science ground, here today.
Ranjeet Kalra, Vice Chairman Sports Council Jammu and Advisor Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt of Lakshadweep was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who along with Sheikh Mehmood, President District Football Association (DFA) distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion.
Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Romesh Chander, Varinder Kumar, Kuldeep Singh, Charan Dass, Yousuf Don, Amardeep Singh and Rajesh Sumbria.
Earlier, Altaf Hussain and Zahid Ali were the goal scorers for Kargil United, while Sarvar Hussain netted the goal for All Star FC.
The match was officiated by Ajay Singh, Anish Kumar, Ankit Mehta and Ashish Kumar.
Meanwhile, Sudeva Residence Football School Delhi will be holding selection trials for Under-13, Under-15 and Under-18 footballers at GGM Science College Football ground, here tomorrow.
