JAMMU, Feb 16: Senior BJP leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Satpaul Karlupia here today started construction work of a culvert (bridge) in Indira Colony area of his Ward number 32.
Speaking on the occasion, Karlupia said that the work of construction of the culvert was a long pending demand of the locals of the area as they were facing problems due to the culvert in bad condition.
The work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 3.82 lakh.
The Councillor claimed that he is committed to make his Ward a model one by providing all the basic amenities there.
He directed the concerned engineers as well as the contractor to complete the work using good quality construction materials and complete the work within stipulated time.
Karlupia asked the people of his Ward to stop throwing garbage here and there and use the services of garbage collecting auto in this regard.
Ex. En. Irrigation, F.R Bhagat; Lovekesh Gondi, BJP J&K UT Executive Member IT Department; Rahul Mehra, Ward president; Satish Salaria, Anil Rakwal, Bawa Ram, Reena, Ashok Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
