JAMMU, Mar 4: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Satpaul Karlupia here today started construction work of a deep drain (Nallah) in Gole Panjpeer area of Ward number 32 which will be completed at a cost of Rs. 9 lakh.
The Nallah was in dilapidated condition since long due to which residents of the area were facing a lot of problems.
Speaking on the occasion Karlupia asked the general public to cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the local body.
He urged upon the residents of his Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene in daily life and stop throwing debris, garbage etc in lanes and drain to make the city neat and clean.
The JMC Councillor assured that he will try his best to make his Ward a model one in all respects.
Lovekesh Gondi, Executive Member IT Department BJP; Madan Lal, Rahul Mehra, Rajesh Saini, Satish Salaria, Raj Kumar and others were also present on the occasion.
