JAMMU, Jan 18: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Satpaul Karlupia here today started work of deep drains in Govind Nagar area of Ward number 32 which will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 35 lakh.
Deep drains in the area remained a long pending demand for the people of Govind Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion Karlupia appealed to the general public to cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the UEED.
He urged upon the residents of the area to avoid single use plastic and polythene in daily life and stop throwing debris, garbage etc in lanes and drain to make the city neat and clean.
Lovekesh Gondi, Executive Member IT Department BJP; Anil Rakwal, Rahul Mehra, Geeta Sodhi, Paramjeet Kour, Rajesh Saini, Pala Ram, Madan Lal, Satish Salaria, Pyare Lal Pandita, Ashok Kachroo and others were also present on the occasion.
