JAMMU, Mar 24: Expressing grave concern over the continued terror related incidents in Jammu region indicating that militancy has spread to various parts of the region in the recent past, JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra today questioned the Central Government led by BJP for its false narratives and asked it to more effectively deal with the situation, to bring complete normalcy.

Addressing a press conference here today JKPCC chief suggested all party meet over the current situation to more effectively deal with the growing challenge on the militancy front as terrorism has spread and rather shifted in Jammu region more than Kashmir. He referred to various reports of the spotting of terrorists in different parts of the region including the Hiranagar incident since yesterday in which a girl has been injured apart from search operations in other areas in the recent days including the mysterious disappearance and killing of five persons in Kathua district. He expressed concern over the deterioration of the law and order situation in the Jammu City and its nearby districts in the recent times and termed it a serious matter.
He asked the Centre Government and BJP to come out of the habit of creating a false narrative about the situation claiming that they have brought out complete normalcy while others in the past have not dealt with the situation and rather seek the cooperation and support of all to control the situation and bring normalcy.
Flanked by working president Raman Bhalla, chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former Minister Yogesh Sawhney and former MLC Ved Mahajan, JK PCC chief also referred to the burning issues of pending refugees package with the Centre, drinking water situation and daily wagers agitation, difficulties being faced on account of certain government directions regarding stopping certain procedures under Ayushman Bharat – Sehat Scheme in private sector and asked the Govt to take note of the burning demands immediately.
Raman Bhalla explained the hardships being faced by the patients under the Ayushman Bharat – Sehat Scheme by the recent orders excluding certain surgeries from private hospitals like restricted procedures, gal bladder removal, appendectomy, piles surgery, fissure – in-Ano surgery and demanded immediate review besides clearing the pending liabilities of private institutions of around 250 crores under the scheme. He said that common people have to wait for long dates in Govt Hospitals for these surgeries in absence of private sector, besides the staff in private sector are loosing jobs, so the Govt must act swiftly.
On the issue of refugees Bhalla and Ravinder Sharma questioned the Centre Govt for the pending package of refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971 from PoJK, Chhamb & West Pakistan and blamed BJP of betrayal and befooling them with sanction of a meagre part of Rs 5.5 lakh against,30 lakhs as recommended by Congress- NC Coalition Government.
Demanding implementation of full package of 2014 as endorsed by JPC besides extending the ongoing package of Rs 5.5 lakhs, till all registered refugees are covered, they demanded the setting up of Refugees Welfare Board to sort out multiple issues of the refugees of different categories.
Raising the issue of daily wagers’ agitation for their just cause, former Minister Yogesh Sawhney expressed concern over the difficulties faced by the people in Jammu City besides in other rural areas. He said that party supports the demands of the agitating workers and seeks early resolution of their issues as the Govt has already constituted a committee for the purpose but at the same time more efforts should be pushed in by the administration to resolve the water crises faced by the people.
The party also welcomed the constitution of the house committee to look into the irregularities in the JJM.
