JAMMU, Aug 28: Kartar Gupta has been elected as president of the Lakhdata Bazar Businessmen Welfare Association in its elections today.
He was declared elected by Govind Sareen the election incharge. Gupta got 59 votes while his nearest rival Raj Kumar Gupta got 49 votes. The other contenders for the post Shailender Anand got 14 votes and Rajesh Gandotra got only one vote.
Later addressing the business men Gupta assured them that he will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the business community of the market. He said he will choose his team of office bearers in a couple of days.
