KAS Association projects demands

JAMMU, Sept 18: KAS Officers Association reviewed the demands related to time bound promotions of the cadre and discussed other issues in a meeting held in the summer capital the other day.
The meeting in this connection was held under the chairmanship of  M H Malik, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban. During the meeting several issues pertaining to KAS officers were discussed in detail. It was unanimously decided in the meeting to prevail upon the Government to fulfill the long pending demands of KAS officers which include cadre review, time bound promotions, enhancement of quota at various levels, posting of two KAS officers as secretaries  to the Government  and secretaries in the departments as provided under rules, implementation of transfer policy, formulation of training policy and Medical reimbursement policy at par with All India Service Officers.
It was also decided that the  matter related to posting of non-cadre officers against the cadre posts will be again agitated before the Government for withdrawing all such arrangements  and the Government shall be requested  to post KAS officers against these posts.  They said that many KAS officers were without proper residential accommodation.
