SRINAGAR, Oct 1: A KAS officer and Joint Registrar Cooperative, Ajesh Kumar, fell from the window of Himaal hotel on the banks of Dal lake in Srinagar late last night.
He was removed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at around 1 a.m. He was a KAS officer of 1999 batch. His body was sent home to Kishtwar today.
Meanwhile, a condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Cooperatives Dr Manohar Lal Sharma to condole the sad demise of Ajesh Kumar. The participants observed 2-minutes silence to pay homage to the departed soul and also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family in bearing the irreparable loss.
Chief Secretary, Iqbal Khandey also expressed condolence on the sad demise of Ajesh Kumar.
KAS Association expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to departed soul.
