After a temporary lull, Kashmir is boiling again. The situation has gone from bad to worse. The administration seems helpless in dealing with the present situation for obvious reasons.
As a fact of matter Pakistan wants to keep the pot boiling to put more pressure over India at a time when the two countries are trying to be in dialogue process after Pathankot airbase attack.
The separatist forces and some political groups opposed to the present establishment do not want to miss any chance to corner the Govt and create all sorts of problems for it.
Now, there is urgent need to involve the senior citizens (Elders) and utilize their experience and influence to maintain peace in their respective areas. At the same time, there is need to maintain strict discipline among the forces while dealing with unruly mobs. Modern alternative methods other than the bullets be put into practice to control stone pelters in order to save precious lines. Let good sense prevail to all the stakeholders.
