JAMMU, Sept 10: State BJP chief Ravinder Raina has claimed that with the abrogation of Article 370 a `curse’ has been lifted from the State and now Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh would witness multi-faceted growth.
Addressing a public meeting organized in Kunjwani area of Gandhi Nagar Assembly constituency here today, Raina said that with the abrogation of Article 370, a long standing “Curse” has finished from the region. He blamed Article 370 and Article 35-A for the lack of progress in various developmental and basic projects undertaken in the region.
Raina said that many old defunct and non-desirable laws will be done away with, after October 31, and the region is set to explore new lease of life granted after 7 decades. He stressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister & BJP National President Amit Shah led BJP leadership has undid historical wrong by scrapping the Article and met the expectation of the lakhs of people living in this part of Nation.
Kavinder Gupta, said that now, with the abrogation of Article 370, there is one constitution and one flag in whole India. He said that with the bold step, BJP has worked towards the true unification of the Nation in letter and spirit. He also said that many big business houses have already started showing their interest in the region and this is surely going to stimulate the growth and development in the region by stimulating influx of investments, industries and other avenues.
Vikram Randhawa embarked upon the achievements of BJP leadership and said that such strong and bold decisions can only be taken by a strong Nationalist Government at the Centre. He said that BJP leadership is working with commitment to uplift every neglected section in the society proceeding by the party principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas” and that is quite evident by the grant of all basic rights to the specific sections living in the region.
Baldev Singh Billawaria also spoke on the occasion. Many prominent social and political personalities also joined BJP on the occasion. Prominent businessman Dr Krishan Lal Thapa along with Mohan Lal Thapa, Shala Kumar, Mukesh Kattal, Surinder Kumar, Bajinder Kumar, Baldev Raj Kumar, Om Parkash Verma and many others joined the ranks of BJP during the meeting.
