Kashmir policy

Sir,
Former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s allegation that Modi’s K-policy is swinging like Pendulum needs clarification both from the central government and from Dr. Abdullah also. Giving example of Raj Nath Singh describing Dineshwar Sharma as Interlocutor, but Dr. Jitendra Singh terming him merely as a spokesperson Dr. Abdullah has a genuine point. But the problem is that National Conference government since 1947 has itself treated Kashmir as Pendulum. Imagine that the greatest leader, which Kashmir has ever produced, and whose name was blindly believed to be painted or inscripted on the leaves of chinar trees stands irrelevant among the Kashmiri masses today. Instead, men like Ali Shah Geelani have become the new icons courtesy whosoever. Had NC Government bloomed Maqbool Sherwani’s name instead of Maqbool Bhat, the situation would have been different. Yes, Government of India should come out with clear vision whether the Interlocutor’s exercise is only for killing the time or is a serious exercise but those living in glasshouses should not throw stones on others.
Yours etc….
